The Hospital Foundation in support of AdventHealth Polk was excited to sponsor the opening concert of the 2026 Summer Tracks concert series. The Summer Tracks concert series is organized by Peter Eisenbrown and brings great performers to Rogers Park. The Foundation was fortunate to sponsor the performance of Sweet Megg.

AdventHealth Polk is also a banner sponsor for all six of this year's concerts.

2026 Car, Truck, & Bike Gallery

In addition to the services available at the Men's Health Tune-Up, The Hospital Foundation sponsored a Car, Truck, & Bike Show during the event. With over 70 cares on display, the attendees had an opportunity to see some great cars and talk with the owners. Everyone who attended the event also had an chance to vote for their favorite vehicle.

Women's Clinic Grand Opening

AdventHealth Polk recently held the Grand Opening for their new Obstetrics & Gynecology Office in Columbus. Irene Besser is the clinic's Certified Nurse Midwife and bring over 30 years of experience in OB/GYN services. The Hospital Foundation had Irene as the guest speaker at our Women's Ambassador event in April.

The 2026 Men's Health Tune-Up and Car Show will be from 9:00 am to Noon on June 20th.

This year's Tune-Up is moving to Polk County Middle School in Mill Spring, NC.

Summer Tracks - June 5th

The Hospital Foundation in support of AdventHealth Polk will be sponsoring the June 5th Summer tracks Concert. Headlining that evening's performance will be Sweet Megg.

Sweet Megg is a genre-blending vocalist and songwriter, weaving jazz, country, and blues into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Originally from NYC and now based in Nashville, she has traveled the world honing her craft everywhere from Parisian jazz clubs to Southern honky-tonks. Her last studio album, *Never Been Home* (#23 on the Americana charts and #1 on the Alt-Country Radio charts), showcased her signature writing style through 12 eclectic original Americana songs. Spring Women's Ambassador

Irene Besser, CNM speaks at Kiwanis

Irene Besser, the new Certified Nurse Midwife for AdventHealth Polk, spoke at the Kiwanis Club of Tryon meeting last week. During her presentation, Irene spoke about opening a new women's health services clinic at AdventHealth Polk. Irene will be the guest speaker at this Spring's Women's Ambassadors Event.

Hat Making Workshop

Dr. Kreuger - Meet & Greet

The Hospital Foundation in support of Advent Health Polk recently donated $4,000 to the AdventHealth Polk Teammate Care Fund.

During the transition from St. Luke's Hospital to AdventHealth Polk, the Foundation was not able to accept donations from hospital employees to support the Teammate Care Fund. This fund is administered by Hospital and Foundation staff to assist hospital team members with short-term financial assistance.

When the Foundation Board learned that the Teammate Care Fund was almost depleted during the transition, they voted to contribute an amount equal to what employees would have normally donated.

The Teammate Care fund is now operating as expected and employees can begin contributing in early 2026.

Gingerbread Houses at AdventHealth Polk

The Hospital Foundation and AdventHealth Polk worked with employees to decorate gingerbread houses in preparation for the Christmas season. The winners were chosen from almost 20 entries created by departments or individuals.

1st Place & People's Choice - High Rise - was created by AdventHealth Polk's Environmental Services

2nd Place - After Helene - was created by Foothills Medical

3rd Place - Pink Ribbon House - was created by Darby Craig

Employees at AdventHealth Polk participated in the annual gingerbread house competition again this year. Trustees from The Hospital Foundation, Linda Schutter, Tom Trobaugh, Linda Greensfelder, Bill Miller, Ben Ellington, and Juli Haynie chose this year's winner.
